Miniature circuit breaker (MCB) are characterized by their low current ratings and fixed trip settings. MCB automatically switches off electrical circuit during an abnormal condition of the network such as an overload condition or a faulty condition. Miniature circuit breakers are nowadays used in low voltage electrical networks instead of fuse.
EDISON MCB’s have precisely formed moulded case & cover of flame retardant high strength thermo plastic material having high melting point, low water absorption, high dielectric strength and temperature withstand.

Miniature Circuit Breakers

EDISON miniature circuit breakers are available with B, C and D characteristic curve as standard. Type C MCBs are most commonly used in commercial and general applications where there are lighting or motor loads involving high switching surges that may cause unwanted operation of type B devices. Type D devices are commonly used for general industrial applications with higher inrush surges
